it will never pass into nothingness." -John Keats, Endymion. Testimonials

I have had the good fortune to have been acquainted with Mr. Kohler's body of work for a period of over twenty years.  His artwork graces my law Office and my home.  Wayne is a technically superb draftsman and his ability to capture scenes and landscapes is exceptional.  His greatest gift, however, is not his technical skill but his ability to paint portraits infused with the personalities of his subjects.  His paintings of children reflect their uniqueness while also reflecting Wayne's emotional bond to them.  Wayne painted a picture of my wife and me that was taken some twenty five years ago.  It hangs in our bedroom not as a picture of us as we looked back then, but as a reflection of our hope for the future and our love.  I highly recommend his work and feel fortunate to have it my life.

Mr. Kohler’s museum-quality portraits become heirlooms the instant that they are completed.  Working from a 2” X 3 ˝” tin-type photo of my great grandmother, ca. 1874, Mr. Kohler created a masterwork portrait measuring 48“ X 60”.  Minor details in the original were painstakingly reproduced in the life-sized portrait.  Throughout the process, Mr. Kohler provided me with frequent updates, and used his intuitive understanding of inorganic pigments and traditional methods to produce a stunning portrait, which is not only vivid and realistic but also gives the illusion of radiating its own light.  Like an Old Master painting, a Kohler original portrait is a status symbol, an heirloom, and a thing of lasting beauty.
